Subject: [Oceanliteracynetwork] New Summer Camp Opportunity for Elementary Students

Parents, teachers, and anyone who knows an elementary-aged child:
I wanted to reach out personally to make sure you were aware of Shedd Aquarium’s new program, Summer Splash Camp: Stay Home Edition. This new virtual summer camp will transport campers grades K- 5 to Shedd Aquarium, where they will look nature in the eye as they meet animals up-close, explore Shedd Aquarium habitats, and participate in hands-on activities, games, crafts, and more! Camp is designed to fully engage campers for the duration of the 3-hour session each day so their adults can take a much-deserved break. Campers will explore, create, dance, and celebrate animals throughout the week.
In the K-2nd grade camp, Wellington the penguin will introduce a new animal each day, including sharks, dolphins and (of course) penguins! The 3rd-5th grade camp will join Wellington on his adventures, visiting a new habitat each day, including the Arctic, coral reefs and kelp forests.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Please forward this to anyone who you think could benefit from this summer opportunity.
