Inheritance, traits and adaptations can be one of those. During this virtual, hour-and-a-half session, educators will explore strategies around the concepts, meet an animal to practice scientific thinking and connect with Shedd experts to learn about real-world examples in current aquatic science. Let’s prepare ourselves to support inquiry-based learning in the virtual setting. During this virtual, two-and-a-half-hour training, educators will fill their toolkits with specific strategies to implement problem-based learning. They will connect their students to nature through media and examples from the backyard. Educators will leave with multiple ways to spark the inquiry process for any learner. During this virtual, hour-and-a-half session, educators will have the opportunity to learn new strategies for supporting their struggling readers using science-aligned texts and practice using MicroLabs to facilitate reading and discussion. Educators will leave with hands-on inquiry activities to promote science literacy.
